• Lockup your paper financial documents in a safe deposit box or in a secure fire-resistant place at home.
• Do not carry your Social Security Card.
• Shred receipts and paper including personal information.
• Do not give out your personal information over the phone or in email unless you initiate the contact.
• Before you dispose of a computer or mobile device, remove all of your personal information, email accounts, pictures, social media accounts, and texts.
• Use strong, complex passwords online and do not use the same password for multiple websites.
